Have you listened on AM?

We got a message the other day from a listener who loves listening to Utah’s Goat on our AM signal at 1580 because that is how he heard most of these songs when they were brand new. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with enjoying the fidelity of FM or even our online stream, but for a little nostalgia, punch up 1580 and let us know!

  1. My daughter introduced me to “The Goat ” and Its the best of the best !!. since I came over here from London UK, I have missed so much great music I can honestly say every song that is played brings back GREAT memories !! Thanks ” The Goat ” you are absolutely fabulous !!………..

  2. We just stumbled across your station today on FM! THANKS for the great memories!

    • This is not meant as a criticism at all, because I really enjoy listening to your station, but I grew up in the late โ€˜โ€™50s and early โ€˜60s and would love to hear more music from such singers like Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Patty Paige, Connie Francis, Everly Brothers, etc

  3. I am not old enough to remember most of this music but I do remember my parents playing it. I am 47 and I love this station. In my mind, I imagine 1 – 2 guys running this little station and it makes me smile. I would love to learn more about who you are. I just love the idea of someone doing what they love to bring others joy. Keep up the great work.

  4. This has been a miracle station. The other “Oldies” stations seem to be gravitating more towards 80’s and 90’s hits. I was so happy to find a station that still played 50s-70s. I listen to it daily!

  5. I stream your music while on my computer and listen to your F.M. station while in my car. Thanks for being the best of the oldies stations. You really do play the true oldies. it is especially nice to hear a lot from the Motown catalog. I remember a lot of your mid- sixties songs on local, Utah radio stations. Thanks for the variety of artists and musical eras. You’re the best!

  6. Love the station, and that it’s licensed to my hometown. I’m a long time radio guy and do most of the imaging for one of Utah’s heritage stations. I’d enjoy producing some imaging for the Goat, just for kicks. If you’re interested, I can send you some samples.

    Best,
    Al

    • Kim,
Thanks for the feedback. We’re working on ways to get our broadcast to cover a greater area. We’ll keep our listeners posted as we are able to make that available.

  7. I am a retired “RN” (Radio ‘Nouncer) who spent 52 wonderful years on the air in news and music hosting. It is good to hear these top hits again. I have been surprised at how much satisfaction I get out of driving around listening to your AM band. About two-thirds of my career was with AM stations. Love it, although I admit I switch to FM sometimes.

  8. Love your station. The 50’s through 70’s oldies stations have mostly disappeared. It’s so nice to have you on the air to play my generation’s music. Keep it up!

  9. I’ve been listening for about 2 years. I listen about 90% each day. It seems like you were doing more variations of music today. Thank you. Thank you. It looks like you’ve add more. I grew up in California. It seemed like of much of what you were doing here was probably more East stuff. Today, it looks like California today. Thank you!

  10. How about playing Take The Long Way Home / The Logical Song by Supertramp or Diamond Girl/ / Summer Breeze by Seals and Crofts. Supertramp and Seals and Crofts are the only artists that would male your oldies station complete. Seals and Crofts were the first Rock Concert I saw at the BYU Marriott center back in 1974.

  11. I have an extra copy of Seals and Crofts Greatest Hits. I will gladly send it out to you, if you promise to put Diamond Girl, Summer Breeze or I’ll Play For You in your airplay list. if you are interested, just send me your address and I will mail it out to you.

    • Thanks for your feedback. We’re expanding our library and will certainly look at getting some Supertramp and Seals and Crofts in there!

  12. Listen all day long on all the radios in the house and in the car, especially in my 55 Chevy or the 68 SS Camaro, hear a lot of repetition, but it’s great anyway, need a lot more Soul music from the 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s, really anything from that era, THANKS FOR PERSERVING THE PAST

  13. We now live in Omaha, NE, but have many relatives here in Utah Valley. We have oldie stations back in Nebraska, but you guys play some tunes that just don’t get played anymore elsewhere. I must admit, however, it is interesting to hear a sweet 50s tune followed by a rocker such as “Wayward Son” by Kansas.

  14. Do you ever play any Seals and Crofts on your station? I have never heard Diamond Girl, Summer Breeze or any of their other big hits on your station. Otherwise, your station is great. I generally listen to your station when I am in my car, doing errands.
